Today makes it exactly one month since Jay proposed, and we couldn't be happier to be getting married.The wedding plans are going so well, and we spend all our spare time together dreaming of that day, only 3 months away! In our first month of engagement, we've gotten a lot of big plans out of the way...
Some things we've finished so far include finding our reception site(my maid of honor's backyard:) and booking the church. We'll be getting married at our home church here in Corona. I've gone to the church since elementary school, and it's the very place that Jay and I met. We're involved with the college group there, and also love doing ministry with the junior high kids, so we're excited to be getting married in the auditorium where we meet to worship every Sunday.
Also officially booked and checked off the list is the honeymoon! We booked our trip to Banff National Park (pictured) a few weeks ago, and we're SO excited! :) For those of you who don't know, Banff is just an hour's drive outside of Calgary in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, and is full of mountains and lakes to explore. We can't wait.
Another big thing off the list is buying my wedding dress! I'll have to leave out the picture, since Jay isn't allowed to see, but it was definitely an exciting experience! I can't wait for the day that I get to wear it and walk down the aisle to say "I do". :)
